Aerosmith began when Steven Tyler formed a band called “The Strangers” in 1964 in Sunapee, which is a small villaje in New Hansphire where he played the drum.
The name of the group became “Chain Reaction”. They played songs composed by Steven and they made versions from “The Beatles” and “The Rolling Stones” songs.Between 1967 and 1969 they recorded a couple of songs and they helped other groups such as “The Yard Birds” and “The Beach Boys”.
Finally, in 1970, they joined the band Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton, who formed part of group “Jam Band” with which interpreted blues songs. On this way bécame a new band with a new name: “Aerosmith”.
The band was completed by Brad Whitford, at the guitar and Joey Kramer at the drum.
Their style is a mix of rock and blues.
