It is a hard rock USA band formed in Sayreville (New Jersey) in 1983, by Jon Bon Jovi, who is the singer and the leader of this group, also with Richie Sambora at the guitar, David Bryan at the piano, Tico Torres at the drums and Alec John at the bass.
The band´s lineup has remained mostly static during their history, being the only excepction the death of Alec John in 1994, who was unofficialy replaced by Hugh McDonald.
It became famous all over the world with the álbum “Slippery When Wet”, which was the best sold in 1987 in EEUU. From this álbum got the famous son called “Livin´On A Prayer”.
